MEET THE ORCHESTRA

SAMANTHA COOK (Flutehas played flute since childhood and has played to audiences all over the U.S. as well as abroad. She has toured with the Caravan for many years now and has also written and recorded flute parts for Productions of Charlotte's Web and Narnia! for Pennsylvania Youth Theatre. She is thrilled to be back on the road with this year's company of A Christmas Carol

 

CHRISTINA CRUDER (Clarinetis a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters Degree in Music and a Bachelors degree in Music from the University of Florida. This is her third year with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan. Some of her recent work includes performances with the National tours of: Il Divo, Celtic Thunder, Indigo Girls, Disney at the Movies and Zelda Symphony. She has also performed with the FreeFall Theatre, Mad Theatre, 8'oclock Theater in Tampa Bay, FL. This past summer she has played Reeds and Keyboard with the Lake Dillon Theatre Compnay in Silverthorne, Colorado.

 

LAMAR CURTIS (Bassoonrecieved his Music Diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy and studied Bassoon Performance at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Lamar has had a 30 year touring career throughout the U.S., Canada, Scandinavia, and Europe. This is his 13th A Christmas Carol tour. He has performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Detroit Civic Orchestra, New Jersey Verismo Opera, Imani Winds (substitute), Boulder Philharmonic, Colorado Mahlerfest, Mannheim Steamroller, and currently serves as principal bassoonist with Candid Concert Opera, Chicago Summer Opera, and works as an active freelancer having performed with several members of New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Renovo Strings, and Apollo Chorus. Lamar calls Chicago home; where he is also an active actor with several TV, Film, and Commericla credits to his name.

 

STEVEN ZUMBRUN (Musical Directorhas accompanied musicals and revues across the country. This is Steven's tenth tour of duty with A Christmas Carol (starting in 2003). He was extremely proud to accompany the Caravan tour of The Fantasticks in 2014. His other favorite theatre venues include the Springer Opera House in Georgia (Sweeny Todd, A Chorus Line, The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors) and Totem Pole Playhouse in Pennsylvania (Ruthless!, Barnum, Dames at Sea, Forever Plaid).
